Why Aloo Ke Gutke Is Caution for Dogs
Aloo Ke Gutke is an Uttarakhand dish of boiled, roughly mashed potatoes tempered with jakhiya seeds, mustard oil and chilli.
The potato base isn't a concern, but the tempering (jakhiya seeds fried in mustard oil with dried red chilli) is intensely flavoured and can irritate a dog's stomach, it's the seasoning, not the potato, that makes this dish unsuitable.
