Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 July 2026
By using dogeats.in you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About the content — this is information, not veterinary advice
dogeats.in provides general educational information about foods and dog nutrition in an Indian context. All content is reviewed for accuracy against sources including the AKC, ASPCA, Merck Veterinary Manual, VCA and Indian veterinary references.
This site is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Every dog is different, and clinical judgement about an individual animal can only be made by a veterinarian who has examined that animal. If your dog is unwell, has eaten something harmful, or has ongoing health conditions, contact your vet or the emergency numbers listed in the footer — do not rely on this website to replace that consultation.
2. Editorial standards
Our content follows the process described in our Editorial Guidelines: source review, veterinary review, structured safety verdicts and clear labelling of Safe / Caution / Toxic foods. We correct errors promptly when brought to our attention.
3. Emergencies
In a suspected poisoning or medical emergency, call your veterinarian or an animal emergency line immediately. Do not delay to read an article. Emergency animal-welfare contacts for India are listed in the footer of every page.
4. Intellectual property
Text, images and structured guides on dogeats.in are © dogeats.in and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link back to the original page. Systematic copying, republication or resale of content is not permitted without written permission.
5. Accuracy & limitation of liability
We put substantial effort into accuracy and vet review, but the content is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, dogeats.in and its contributors accept no liability for any loss or harm arising from reliance on the site. Always confirm with your veterinarian before making significant changes to your dog's diet or acting on food-safety information.
6. External links
We link to authoritative external sources (AKC, ASPCA, PetMD, Merck, VCA and others). We do not control the content of external sites and are not responsible for changes made there after our review.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
