Why Imarti Is Caution for Dogs

Imarti is a spiral-shaped Indian sweet similar to jalebi, made from fermented urad dal (black gram) batter deep-fried and soaked in sugar syrup.

Like jalebi, imarti is deep-fried then soaked until saturated in concentrated sugar syrup, giving it very little nutritional value for a dog and a high potential for causing digestive upset, blood sugar spikes, or contributing to obesity and dental problems with any regularity.
