Bhel puri combines puffed rice (mumra), sev, onion (raw), chutney (green chilli, tamarind), chaat masala (containing onion and garlic powder), salt and sometimes raw garlic. The raw onion, chaat masala and chutney make bhel puri highly toxic for dogs. Even without visible onion pieces, the chaat masala contains concentrated onion and garlic powder.
